What a week it's been for the Silver and Black.
Monday morning the Oakland Raiders received conditional approval by the National Football League to relocate the franchise to Las Vegas.
Following the announcement, Owner Mark Davis released a statement, expressing his excitement over the news.
"My father always said, 'the greatness of the Raiders is in its future,' and the opportunity to build a world-class stadium in the entertainment capital of the world is a significant step toward achieving that greatness," said Davis in the statement. "I would like to thank Commissioner Goodell, the National Football League and my 31 partners. I would also like to thank Governor Brian Sandoval and the Nevada Legislature for their commitment. Finally, I would like to thank Sheldon Adelson for his vision and leadership, without which this project never would have become a reality."
Later in the day, quarterback Derek Carr took to twitter to share his thoughts on the future home for the Raiders.
Carr was not alone in sharing his feelings about the move, as several of his teammates, as well as prominent media figures, and Head Coach Jack Del Rio, utilized social media to express their feelings on the Silver and Black's eventual move.
