Quarterback Derek Carr
Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr had an uncharacteristic day at the office Sunday against the Washington Redskins. Wednesday, the Raiders signal-caller met with the local media to recap the game, as well as look ahead to this Sunday's matchup with the Denver Broncos. Not only will No. 4 be squaring off against a divisional foe this weekend, but he'll face one of the best secondaries in all of football as well. With cornerbacks Aqib Talib and Chris Harris, Jr., manning the outside, it'll be a good challenge for both teams.

Carr spoke about what it'll be like to face a tough, Broncos defensive unit.
"They have Pro Bowl players everywhere. They know how I feel about them – nothing but respect for them. I think the world of how good and talented they are, but I am always excited to play against them. It's always fun to compete against those guys because they bring the best out of you. It's always fun."
He commented on if there's any added significance to this week's game since it's a divisional matchup.
"You've played them so many times, it's almost like you see them all the time, and then you get back out there and Von [Miller] comes off the edge and you're like, 'Oh yeah, he' back,' and all those things. Whenever you play a divisional game, there is no added hype or anything like that. I think we've done a good job with our process of just the way we recover. We prepare for each game and compete."
The former Fresno State Bulldog praised Broncos linebacker Von Miller for his athletic ability.
"He's a heck of a player. Again, he's another player that knows how I feel about him. I think he's one of the best to ever play the game. Not just in the game now. We all know that. He's one of the best to ever play. The way he can come off the ball. Kind of like our man Khalil [Mack]. He can get off the ball though. The way he can time the snap count and those things. It's freakish."
After last week's performance, Carr touched on how he can get better going forward.
"I would just say don't press. I don't need to make every play. I always put it on my shoulders. I'm harder on myself than anybody is. Whenever we put a performance out there like that, I told you after the game, everybody played great except me. I just have to know I have to rely on my teammates. I don't have to do it all."
He talked about the impact punter Marquette King has had in the special teams game.
"He works hard. Obviously, he likes to joke around and have a lot of fun, but at the same time, there's no doubting that he works his tail off. If he has a rough game or anything like that, he's out here working his tail off. Before practice or after, whatever he has to do to just be better. Anytime you get a guy with talent that works hard, it's going to be good."
