By nature, free agency is a fluid process.
Players eligible to hit the market are either retained by their current team or look for work elsewhere, but by nature, turnover occurs on each NFL roster.
The Oakland Raiders are no different.
While the Silver and Black have made a plethora of moves in free agency, they've also lost a pair of players as well – offensive lineman Tony Bergstrom and wide receiver Rod Streater.
Bergstrom signed with the Houston Texans last week after spending the first four years of his NFL career with the Oakland Raiders.
The former Utah Ute was selected in the third round (No. 95 overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft and was actually the first player Reggie McKenzie selected in his tenure as General Manager.
During his four seasons in Oakland, Bergstrom appeared in 25 games, including all 16 games in 2015.
The versatile lineman also started three games last season, appearing in relief for an injured Rodney Hudson.
Similarly to Bergstrom, Rod Streater, who also spent the first four seasons of his professional career with the Raiders, will be donning a new uniform in 2016.
However, he'll remain in the AFC West, as he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs – a move the team announced Monday.
During his four seasons as a Raider, Streater appeared in 36 games, enjoying a career year in 2013 where he appeared in all 16 games and led the team with 888 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
The former Temple Owl missed nearly all of 2014 because of a foot injury, and then was never able to crack the Raiders' receiving rotation in 2015 as he was active for just one game.
A fan favorite during his tenure in Oakland, Streater was very active in the community, and also won the team's Ed Block Courage Award in December.
After joining the Chiefs, Streater took to social media to express his appreciation and gratitude to the Raiders organization and fans.
His former quarterback Derek Carr also wished him well as he prepared for the next chapter of his NFL career.
Interestingly enough, both Bergstrom and Streater will square off against the Raiders in 2016 – the Raiders and Texans are set to meet in Mexico City, and the Chiefs and Raiders play twice as well.
