2023 Coach of the Year Winner
Sunrise Mountain High School Head Coach Chris Sawyers
Coach Sawyers finished the season 7-1 and undefeated in League play, and finished first place in the 4A Mountain Division. Coach Sawyers led his team to the 4A State Championship for the first time in school history where they finished State runner up.
Coach Sawyers attended the Southern Nevada Coaches Association end of the season meeting at Allegiant Stadium on 10/23/2023. While he was in the meeting, the Raiders bussed his team in as well as school administrators and his family and hid them in the Raiders locker room until it was time for the surprise. Coach Sawyers he was doing a live news hit in the locker room to get him to come. Once he showed up to the locker room, he had no idea his players and staff were waiting for him in there. A congratulations video played on the screens before he celebrated with his kids and coaches and family. In addition to the surprise, coach was also rewarded a custom football as well as $2,000 towards the Sunrise Mountain Football Program.

Palo Verde High School Head Coach Rick Eurich
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Palo Verde High School Head Coach Rick Eurich the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after #3 seed Palo Verde defeated reigning 4A state champion and #2 seed Desert Oasis High School in the playoffs semi final game. This victory earned Palo Verde an opportunity to take on #1 seed and back-to-back 5A state champion Shadow Ridge High School on Tuesday, February 20th.
Del Sol High School Head Coach Stephen Topper
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Del Sol High School Head Coach Stephen Topper the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week. Del Sol fell behind 20-0 early in the game, but was able to complete a comeback to earn a 20-21 victory against Green Valley High School.
Foothill High School Head Coach Jason Domingo
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Foothill High School Head Coach Jason Domingo the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week. Foothill went 2-0 last week with wins over Faith Lutheran 26-12 and Legacy High School 20-14. Foothill is 12-4 this season and 8-0 is league play. Coach Domingo coached the all star team at the Raiders Inspire last year.
Moapa Valley High School Head Coach Dave Belcher
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Moapa Valley High School Head Coach Dave Belcher the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Moapa Valley High School defeated Valley High School 62-6 and Pinecrest Sloan Canyon 54-6. Moapa Valley is on a three-game win streak. They have scored over 50 points in all three of those wins.  During this win streak, Moapa Valley played lights out defense allowing a total of 19 points.
Boulder City High School Head Coach Kevin Ruth
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Boulder City High School Head Coach Kevin Ruth the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Boulder City High School defeated Democracy Prep 39-7 and Slam Academy 18-12. Boulder City is 9-0 in in league play and overall undefeated with a 10-0 record.
Virgin Valley High School Head Coach Joseph Bowler
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Virgin Valley High School Head Coach Joseph Bowler Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week. Last week the Bulldogs had two shut outs, beating Eldorado 55-0 and rival Moapa Valley 25-0. On the season the reigning 3A State Champions, Virgin Valley is 9-1. They have two other shut outs this season vs. Centennial High School and Faith Lutheran. The Bulldogs have only allowed more than six points twice this season.
Liberty High School Head Coach Al Tucay
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Arbor View High School Head Coach William Murray the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Arbor View High School defeated Clark High School 48-6 and Chaparral 46-6. The Aggies are 11-5 on the season.
Coronado High School Head Coach Jodi Reich
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Coronado High School Head Coach Jodi Reich the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week. Coronado High School went 3-1 in the Shadow Ridge Mustang Rodeo Holiday Tournament. Prior to coaching, Coach Reich was a player on the 2014 Coronado Flag Football team.
Bonanza High School Head Coach Acie Russell
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Bonanza High School Head Coach Acie Russell the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week. Bonanza High School went undefeated last week winning games against Mater Academy East, SLAM and Pinecrest Academy Cadence.
Liberty High School Head Coach Al Tucay
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Liberty High School Head Coach Al Tucay the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Liberty started their season 4-1 defeating Green Valley High School, Cimarron High School and reigning state champions Desert Oasis High School and Shadow Ridge High School.

The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Bishop Gorman High School Head Coach Brent Browner the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Bishop Gorman High School defeated Coronado High School 49-7 to finish the regular season a perfect 10-0 and locked up the number 1 seed in the 5A Division 1 state playoffs.
Legacy High School Zachary Monticelli
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Legacy High School Head Coach Zach Monticelli the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Legacy High School defeated Palo Verde High School 27-20 for their fourth win of the season. The Longhorns stay unbeaten and league play and now sit alone in first place in the league standings.
Bishop Manogue High School Ernie Howren
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Bishop Manogue High School (Reno, NV.) Head Coach Ernie Howren the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Bishop Manogue High School defeated Reed High School 45-0 for their fifth win of the season. The Miners jumped out to a 31-0 halftime lead and never looked back. The win was Coach Howren's 200th career win. Bishop Manogue's Ernie Howren has joined exclusive company, becoming just the third high school football coach in Nevada to win 200 games.

The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Clark High School Head Coach Deumaine Reeder the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Clark High School defeated Cimarron High School 17-16 for their first win of the season.
Coronado High School Shawn Dupris
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Coronado High School Head Coach Shawn Dupris the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Coronado High School defeated Shadow Ridge High School 28-14 for their second win of the season. Coronado jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the second quarter in the upset win.
Shadow Ridge High School Coach Travis Foster
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Shadow Ridge High School Head Coach Travis Foster the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Shadow Ridge High School defeated Desert Pines High School 21-20 for their fourth win of the season. Shadow Ridge jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter before Desert Pines even touched the ball. After an 80-yard drive to open the game, Shadow Ridge recovered an onside kick and went down and scored to go up 14-0. The defense had to step up in the end, after Desert Pines battled back, Shadow Ridge intercepted a potential touchdown to seal the victory.
Bonanza High School Coach Keith Jones
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Bonanza High School Head Coach Keith Jones the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Bonanza High School defeated Cheyenne High School 36-0 for their first win of the season. The defense also led the way in the shutout victory with a fumble recovery for a touchdown.
Liberty High School Coach Rich Muraco
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Rich Muraco, from Liberty High School, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week for week 3 after his team defeated previously unbeaten Campbell (HI.) 20-14 in the Island Classic. Liberty's defense forced a stop on Campbell in the final few minutes to secure the victory.
Foothill High School Coach Vernon Brown
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Vernon Brown, from Foothill High School, was named the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week for week 2 after his went on the road to Overton, NV to defeat Moapa Valley High School 45-7. Centennial jumped out to a 33-14 lead on Moapa Valley in the first half and never looked back.
Centennial High School Coach DJ Campbell
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named DJ Campbell, from Centennial High School, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after his team defeated King Drew (Ca.) 42-20 in the opening week of the season. Centennial jumped out to an 34-14 lead on King Drew (California) in the first half. Following a professional career in the NFL, Coach Campbell returned to his hometown to start coaching high school football. After the 2022 season, Coach Campbell was named the head coach at Centennial High School. This is Coach Campbell's first win as head coach of Centennial High School.
