​Inducted into Pro Football Hall of Fame on July 28, 1979…Played 11 pro seasons, 10 with the Los Angeles/San Diego Chargers and one with the Oakland Raiders…Became the first player to have worn a Raider uniform inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame…Was the second player from the American Football League (AFL) to be enshrined in Canton, following former teammate Lance Alworth…Elected to the AFL All-Star team in nine straight seasons…A nine-time All-AFL selection…Named to the all-time AFL first team, and is one of only 20 individuals who played the entire 10 years of the AFL…Played in 142 career games…Flagged for just two holding penalties in an 11-year career…Played in five of the first six AFL Championship games, helping lead Chargers to 1963 title…Retired after the 1969 season, but returned to football in 1971 following a trade to the Raiders…Played in 12 games with four starts for the Silver and Black…Earned All-American honors in 1959 as a collegiate lineman at USC…Selected by the Baltimore Colts as the 10th overall pick in the 1960 NFL Draft…Also chosen in the first round of the 1960 AFL Draft by the Boston Patriots…Named to the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 1980.
