The time is finally upon us.
After four weeks of the preseason football, NFL clubs are preparing to kick it off for real this weekend; however, prior to the start of Week 1, teams were required to cut their rosters down to 53 players.
Let's take a look at who survived cut day and some interesting storylines from around the division.

While running back Montee Ball survived the team's initial cut to 53 players, his tenure in Denver didn't last much longer as the team parted ways with him Sunday.
After appearing in all 16 games during his rookie season, Ball only appeared in five in 2014, rushing for just 172 yards and 1 touchdown on 55 carries.
The Broncos open the 2015 season at home against the Baltimore Ravens, who the Raiders take on the following week at O.co Coliseum.

Prior to the Chiefs cutting down their roster to the league-mandated number of 53, the team traded defensive back Kelcie McCray to the Seattle Seahawks.
McCray began his career with the Miami Dolphins in 2012, appearing in four games for the team. He joined the Chiefs in 2014, and appeared in all 16 games, totaling 9 total tackles.
The Chiefs open the season Sunday on the road, taking on the Houston Texans.

After team's cut down to 53 players, the roster moves continue.
In the following days, players go through waivers and clubs must decide on who to assign to their 10-man practice squad.
While many teams have yet to announce their practice squad, the Chargers have already rounded out theirs.
