'It's been pretty awesome': Brock Bowers makes most of first Pro Bowl experience

After participating in the Satisfying Catches Challenge on Thursday, Raiders tight end Brock Bowers finished off his first Pro Bowl weekend with an appearance in Sunday's flag football game.

Bowers led all players with eight targets and finished with a co-game-high six receptions. His 71 receiving yards were tied for the third most among players on either team.

"It's pretty awesome," Bowers told ESPN's Ryan Clark when asked about his experience being around the NFL's best. "Just to meet some of these guys, get to know them a little bit and kind of make some connections around the league, it's been good."

Per ESPN's Stephen Holder, he particularly enjoyed his time spent with San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle.

Bowers caught passes from AFC quarterbacks Joe Burrow, Russell Wilson and Drake Maye in the 7-on-7 game. The NFC ultimately came out on top, 56-50.

Bowers' co-leading all players in receptions was a fitting end to his record-breaking season.

"You never know how your game is going to translate at the next level," Bowers said to Clark. "I just went out there and played my game and it worked out pretty good, I think."

From the end of his Georgia career to the ensuing combine and draft prep and now his first season with the Silver and Black, it's been a jam-packed year for the rookie. While he's certainly looking forward to some down time, Bowers has plans for a productive offseason.

"I think part of it is just that first step, being more explosive," he said. "Just working on that kind of stuff, the small stuff in my game. Just getting better every day."
