Raiders tight end Brock Bowers has been named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for November, the league announced Thursday.
Bowers is just the second player in franchise history to win Offensive Rookie of the Month honors, joining Josh Jacobs (October and November 2019).
Bowers recorded 32 receptions for 349 yards (10.9 avg.) and three touchdowns in four games played. His most productive game came in Week 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs in which he recorded a career-high 140 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Here's how Bowers stacked up against the rest of the rookie class during the month of November:
Category | Rank |
---|---|
Receptions | 32 (1st) |
Receiving Yards | 349 (1st) |
Yards After Catch | 165 (1st) |
Receiving Touchdowns | 3 (1st) |
Receiving First Downs | 17 (1st) |
- Bowers has 100+ receiving yards and one receiving touchdown in two of his last three games. All other rookie tight ends in the last five seasons have two such games combined.
- He was the only rookie to record more than one receiving touchdown in November and accounted for two of the four 100-yard receiving games by rookies.
- His 13 receptions against Miami were one shy of the single-game franchise record.
- Against Kansas City, Bowers became the third rookie tight end in NFL history to record 10+ catches and 140+ receiving yards in a single game. Pete Mitchell last achieved the feat in 1995.
- Bowers' 32 receptions are the third most all-time by a rookie in the month of November
- Bowers, Jacobs and Charles Woodson are the only three players in franchise history to win a Rookie of the Month award.
