Brock Bowers nominated for Rookie of the Week after dominant showing against Dolphins

Brock Bowers has been nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week following a career day in Week 11's matchup against the Miami Dolphins.

The rookie tight end found a way to get open at all costs, reeling in 13 catches for 126 yards and a touchdown grab. It was the most receptions from any player in Week 11 and the most receptions in a single game by a rookie tight end since at least 1960.

"[W]e picked the right guy in the draft. That's one," Head Coach Antonio Pierce said. "I wish those records were also part of our team record, which is more important, wins and losses. But again, tremendous talent. I mean, we're asking him to do a lot, throwing him in there. ... But obviously his numbers are now on a very good historic rate, and we want to continue that. He's one of our better players. I've said that since I've been here, get the ball to your best players. Keep feeding them until they figure out how to stop it."

This is Bowers' fourth NFL Rookie of the Week nomination this season. He's nominated alongside Bo Nix (Denver Broncos), Drake Maye (New England Patriots), Caleb Williams (Chicago Bears), Ladd McConkey (Los Angeles Chargers) and Kamren Kinchens (Los Angeles Rams).
