Just 11 games into his career, Brock Bowers has put his mark in the Raiders' record books.
Bowers, the No. 13 overall draft pick, set a franchise record for most receptions by a rookie during Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.
The tight end made his 73rd reception, surpassing Amari Cooper's 2015 rookie mark of 72 catches, on a 13-yard pass from Gardner Minshew in the fourth quarter.
Bowers' now 74 total career receptions are tied with Jeremy Shockey (74 receptions in 2002 with the New York Giants) for the third-most receptions by a rookie tight end in NFL history.
As Bowers continues his historic run, he could next break a couple league records among rookie tight ends. The record for most receptions by a rookie tight end in a season is 86, set by the Detroit Lions' Sam LaPorta last season, while Mike Ditka has the most receiving yards by a rookie tight end with 1,076 yards, set in 1961.
