Derek Carr's Top 10 Moments As A Raider So Far

In just two years under center, Derek Carr has already provided a plethora of exciting moments for Raider Nation.

From his first career touchdown, to game winning throws and everything in between, the Silver and Black's signal caller undoubtedly has a flare for the dramatic, so on his 25th birthday, we look back at his Top 10 Moments As A Raider.

1. Raiders Draft Carr

It all began May 9, 2014, when the Silver and Black selected the quarterback from Fresno State in the second round (No. 36 overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.

2. Carr Throws His First Touchdown Pass

After beating out veteran Matt Schaub for the starting job as a result of an outstanding preseason, the Raiders' rookie didn't waste any time in securing his first touchdown pass.

With 2:48 left in the first quarter of his first game, Carr threw the ball short to wide receiver Rod Streater, who galloped into the end zone for the rookie's first career touchdown pass.

3. Carr Takes Down The Chiefs

The Silver and Black struggled mightily during Carr's rookie campaign, opening the 2014 season 0-11, but the team certainly notched their first win in style.

With less than 2:00 left in the game, and the rain coming down in droves at O.co Coliseum, Carr connected with veteran wide receiver James Jones for a nine-yard touchdown to give the Raiders a 24-20 lead – a lead they would not relinquish.

4. DC Throws Down

The Raiders' quarterback doesn't just flash his natural athleticism on the football field, and for proof of that, you need to look no further than this video of him dunking on his wife from last season that he posted on Instagram.

5. Carr Shows Off His Arm Strength

Carr's arm strength is one arguably one of his best attributes, and he put it on full display Week 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs, throwing an absolute laser to wide receiver Michael Crabtree, who was able to come down with the ball in between two Kanas City defenders.

6. Raiders Beat Baltimore

This season was a year of game-winning plays for Carr, and he didn't waste any time getting down to business last season, as his connection to wide receiver Seth Roberts with under 0:30 left in regulation against the Baltimore Ravens helped lift the Silver and Black to their first win of the season.

7. Carr Connects With Roberts, Again!

The Carr/Roberts connection reared its head again in Week 12, however, this time it was on the road.

Playing the Tennessee Titans in Nashville, and down by three points in the final minutes, Carr once again connected with Roberts – this time on a 12-yard pass – to secure a critical road win for the Raiders.

8. Pass to Cooper in San Diego

Carr and rookie wide receiver Amari Cooper developed quite a rapport in 2015 and that connection was on full display Week 7 against the San Diego Chargers as the Raiders' quarterback threw up a bomb and let Cooper go and get it – which is exactly what he did – to the tune of 52 yards.

9. Carr Dominates The Jets

In arguably his most complete game as a professional, Carr was masterful Week 8 at home against the New York Jets, completing 23 of 36 passes for 333 yards and four touchdowns, as the Silver and Black bested the Jets 34-20.

10. Carr Earns A Trip To Hawaii

Carr enjoyed an impressive sophomore campaign for the Raiders, improving his stats nearly across the board in his second season under center.

When all was said and done, he threw for 3,987 yards and 32 touchdowns, earning his first Pro Bowl nod in the process.
