The Oakland Raiders played host to the San Diego Chargers Thursday night at O.co Coliseum officially kicking off Week 16 action.
At the half, the Raiders trail 17-10.
Here are the highlights from the first half.
The Chargers won the toss, elected to defer until the second half, and on the opening kickoff Josh Lambo kicked the football off to Taiwan Jones who returned it to the Raiders 20-yard line.
After falling behind 7-0 early and facing a 3rd and 17, Derek Carr dropped back, bought himself some time and found tight end Clive Walford for a gain of 22.
On the next play, Latvius Murray took the handoff from Carr and scampered 22 yards for the score. Sebastian Janikowski added the PAT and tied the game 7-7 with 3:27 left in the first quarter.
The Raiders forced the first Chargers punt of the evening, when facing 3rd and 10, Javontee Herndon couldn't control the pass from Philip Rivers with just over 2:00 left in the opening frame.
With just under 9:00 left in the second quarter, Murray took a handoff from Carr and ran up the gut for a gain of two, giving him 1,000 yards on the season.
Carr and the offense could not convert a 3rd and 2, but Sebastian Janikowski connected from 50 yards out to bring the score to 14-10 with 6:03 left in the second quarter.
With the field goal, Janikowski tied the record with 52 field goals of 50-plus-yards.
