Four Takeaways From Bill Musgrave's Thursday Press Conference

Before the Oakland Raiders returned to the practice field Thursday afternoon to continue their preparation for their Week 13 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave  held his weekly press conference at the team's Alameda, Calif., facility.

Here are the highlights from his remarks.

Thursday's weather provided a good opportunity to practice in the rain.

"Chance to work on some wet ball drills today during practice it looks like, which is good. Keep working on it."

The Raiders offense needs to be aware of where Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters is located.

"Yeah, he'll be to our right. He's done a nice job. It looks like he has a lot of talent."

Tony Bergstrom has played admirably in starting center Rodney Hudson's absence.

"Tony [Bergstrom] stepped right in and has done a nice job. We felt great about when Tony's been in there."

The NFL is all about opportunities.

"I think our guys have embraced their respective roles. Then when they get their chance, they've been making the most of them. What I think we do a good job of is our coaches really prepare our guys, our position coaches. They define their roles, they define the expectations and the guys have really jumped at their chances to get out there and make plays for us."
