When does free agency begin?
The Raiders have 28 players who will become free agents when the NFL's new league year begins on March 12 at 1 p.m. PT. Of those 28, 17 are unrestricted free agents, five are restricted free agents and six are exclusive rights free agents. So what does that mean?
Unrestricted free agents are players with four or more accrued seasons who are free to sign with any team once their contract expires.
Restricted free agents are players with three accrued seasons and are free to negotiate and sign with any team. However, their original team is given right of refusal and can match any offer made by another team in order to retain the player.
Exclusive rights free agents are players with fewer than three accrued seasons. If a player's original team offers him a one-year contract at the league minimum (based on his credited seasons), the player cannot negotiate with other teams.

What are reserve/future contracts and who have the Raiders signed to one?
At the end of a team's season, any player who wasn't on the active roster is eligible to be signed to a reserve/future contract. It gives teams the rights to a certain player and the players don't count against each team's roster limit until the new league year begins in March.
The Raiders have 14 players signed to reserve/future contracts and 12 of them ended the 2024 season on the Raiders practice squad: DE David Agoha, T Gottlieb Ayedze, CB M.J. Devonshire, CB Keenan Isaac, WR Shedrick Jackson, DT Tyler Manoa, WR Tyreik McAllister, LB Jackson Mitchell, DE Ovie Oghoufo, C Will Putnam, LB Brandon Smith, RB Isaiah Spiller, T Dalton Wager and WR Kristian Wilkerson.
How many draft picks do the Raiders have?
As of now, the Raiders hold eight total draft picks and in the first round, the No. 6 overall pick. Compensatory picks – picks in Rounds 3 through 7 given to a team that lost "more or better compensatory free agents than it acquired in the previous year," per the NFL – will be distributed by the league closer to the draft.
