New Faces in Oakland: A 2015 Raiders Free Agency Recap

It's been a busy offseason for General Manager Reggie McKenzie and his staff. Since the end of the 2014 season, McKenzie has been busy signing* *free agents to the roster in Oakland, as well as signing the 10-man 2015 Draft Class.

Let's take a quick look at McKenzie's offseason, and what new faces will be wearing Silver and Black in 2015.

February 24, 2015

K Giorgio Tavecchio – The former California Golden Bear spent part of the 2014 preseason with the Raiders after a stop in Detroit. He has also spent time with both the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers.

March 11, 2015

LB Malcolm Smith – Smith comes to the Raiders from Seattle where he appeared in 57 games for the Seahawks, making 16 starts. Oh, and he was named the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XLVIII.

LB Curtis Lofton – Lofton is set to be the new man in the middle for the Silver and Black in 2015. If nothing else, Lofton is durable, as he's started every game he's played in since 2009.

DT Dan Williams – The 6'3'' 215 pounder comes to Oakland by way of the Arizona Cardinals where he appeared in 70 games with 40 starts.

RB Roy Helu, Jr.– After four years with the Washington Redskins where he established himself as both a rushing and receiving threat out of the backfield, the Danville,-Calif-., native is back in Northern California.

C Rodney Hudson– Hudson is tasked with replacing Stefen Wisniewski as the man in the middle of the Raiders offensive line. In his career, Hudson has appeared in 51 games, making 35 starts.

TE Lee Smith– Used primarily as a blocking tight end, Smith did haul in three touchdowns during his four years with the Buffalo Bills.

S Nate Allen– Allen arrives in Oakland after spending the past five seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles where he started 69 games and totaled 10 interceptions.

March 13, 2015

CB James Dockery– Dockery has appeared in 31 games in his career, making two total starts.

P Steven Clark– The former Auburn Tiger joins the Silver and Black after spending time with the Denver Broncos during the 2014 offseason.

QB Christian Ponder– Ponder brings a veteran presence to a young quarterback's room in Oakland. During his four years in the NFL, he has appeared in 38 games, making 36 starts for the Minnesota Vikings.

March 17, 2015

RB Trent Richardson– The former first-round draft pick has made 37 starts in his NFL career, rushing for 2,032 yards and 17 touchdowns.

March 30, 2015

DL C.J. Wilson– Wilson returns for his second season in Oakland after appearing in all 16 games and making seven starts for the Silver and Black in 2014.

April 2, 2015

T J'Marcus Webb – The veteran tackle has appeared in 55 games, making 45 starts, most recently with the Minnesota Vikings.

April 13, 2015

WR Michael Crabtree– The talented wide receiver comes to Oakland from the other side of the Bay Area, where he appeared in 79 games, catching 347 passes and 26 touchdowns during his time with the 49ers.

June 3, 2015

WR/RS Trindon Holliday– The dynamic return man joins the Raiders after spending time with the Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has appeared in 33 career games, totaling 82 punt returns for 769 yards (9.4 avg.) and 54 kickoff returns for 1,455 yards (26.9 avg.), with a total of four return touchdowns (two punt, two kickoff).

June 4, 2015

WR Kris Durham– In his career, Durham has appeared in 27 games, making 16 starts. He was most recently with the Tennessee Titans.
