The Las Vegas Raiders communications staff is being recognized for their diligent work over the past year within the NFL landscape.

The team has been nominated for the Pete Rozelle Award, which is voted on by the Pro Football Writers of America and is given annually to the NFL club public relations staff that "consistently strives for excellence in its dealings and relationships with the media."

This is the first time the Raiders communications staff has been a finalist for the honor, following a 2023 season with a head coach and general manager change in Week 8. The department consists of Vice President of Communications Will Kiss, Communications Manager Cam Russo and Communications Coordinators Jade Capristo, Joseph Hooven and Ashley Smith.

It's also worth nothing that Kiss, who has spearheaded the department since 2013, is a University of San Francisco alum such as the award's namesake – Pete Rozelle, the former NFL Commissioner.

"It's an honor for our staff to be selected as a finalist for the Rozelle Award by the PFWA," Kiss said. "It's a testament to the dedicated people behind the scenes that work hard to facilitate year-round media coverage. The PFWA has a strong local chapter, and we look forward to their continued storytelling of the Raiders."

The other teams up for the award are the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers. Voting for the PFWA's Off-Field Awards takes place until May 24, with the winners to be announced shortly after.
