The Raiders Family was saddened to learn of the passing of Chon Gallegos.
He led the NCAA with 14 touchdown passes while at San Jose State in 1961 and joined the Raiders the following year, playing in six AFL games and throwing two touchdowns. Gallegos then became a long-time high school coach in the South Bay, helping tutor Jim Plunkett among many others. The thoughts of the Raider Nation are with the Gallegos family at this time.
