ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have released QB AJ McCarron and WR Jordy Nelson, the club announced Thursday.
McCarron spent the 2018 season with the club and was active for all 16 contests, appearing in two and completing one-of-three pass attempts for eight yards. Over his four-year career, McCarron has appeared in 13 total contests and made three starts.
Nelson spent one year with the club after joining ahead of the 2018 campaign and appeared in 15 contests and made 14 starts. He finished the season ranked third on the team with 63 receptions and second with 739 yards receiving, adding three touchdown receptions. Nelson has appeared in 151 contests and made 102 starts, tallying 613 receptions for 8,587 yards and 72 scores over his 11 seasons in the NFL.
