If you've felt like the offseason has dragged on longer than usual, you're not alone.
Late June to mid-July is a rough stretch; there's not a whole lot going on that pertains to football, although, these few weeks give the players one final break before they descend to Napa Valley, Calif., for Training Camp.
Several players have taken this time to go on vacations, host events, and just kick back and relax.
Let's take a look at the Raiders Roundup:
FIFA World Cup 2018
The World Cup final is Sunday morning, and the build up to the championship match has been exhilarating. The semifinals were Tuesday, and featured matches between France and Belgium, as well as Croatia and England. Both games were nail biters, each coming down to the final minute. The suspense throughout the 90 minutes of action had Raiders quarterback Derek Carr and tight end Jared Cook worked up.
Esports
Regardless of whether or not you consider yourself a "gamer", the rise of esports is undeniable, and clipped videos of gameplay are becoming commonplace on social media. Raiders offensive lineman Jon Feliciano is an avid Twitch streamer (you can find him at "hurricanejon" if you wish to follow him), and he's recently started tweeting highlights from his streams.
Fortnite has taken the world by storm, and it seems like tournaments are beginning to pop up every week. Defensive tackle Eddie Vanderdoes is constantly retweeting videos of famous Twitch streamer Ninja, or your everyday Fortnite highlight, but he's trying to compete in an NFL charity event this weekend. If he hasn't found a partner yet, maybe you can link up with him for some duos action.
Ready for camp
As mentioned previously, Training Camp is less than two weeks away, and while the players have certainly enjoyed their time away from the field, they're eager to get back.
Carr is obviously anxious to get back to work with Marshawn Lynch.
I think we can all relate to Donald Penn a little bit in this photo.
Rookie punter Johnny Townsend looks ready for his first season in the Silver and Black.
