Raiderettes Itza, Tori, Angel, Lytisha, Jonni, Natalie, Jessica, Maureen, Staci and Tiphanie and Raider Nation On Location participated in the 12th Annual A's MUG Root Beer Float Day prior to the Athletics vs. Marlins game. The Raiderettes served root beer floats to the guests and posed for photos to help raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

The JDRF website states, "the mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research." According to an official A's press release, the event, held in the East Side Club at the Coliseum, raised over $29,000 for the foundation.

"It's just great to be back in the Coliseum," said Raiderette Itza. "Obviously today we're rooting on the A's and supporting the community and JDRF. It's great to see fans come out in their Oakland A's gear or their Raiders gear. It's about 'Go Oakland!' today. One of our sisters has diabetes too so just to be part of this event means a lot because it hits close to home. We've raised a lot of funds today with the photos and the root beer floats, so we're just happy to do our part."

The Raider Nation On Location crew was also on hand for Root Beer Float Day giving the fans the opportunity to win Raiders memorabilia by either spinning the prize wheel or entering a raffle.
