After a few days in Arizona at the NFL annual meetings, the Upon Further Review squad is back with a vengeance at 1220 Harbor Bay Parkway breaking down everything that has happened with the Oakland Raiders over the past week.
Following a recap of the the Silver and Black's recent transactions, Eddie Paskal welcomes in Mike Mayock to the program where the Raiders GM discusses – among other things – the addition of Vontaze Burfict, his thoughts about free agency thus far, and where he and his staff are in terms of preparations for next month's draft.
After Mayock's time on the air, recently signed linebacker Brandon Marshall joins the program to give his first interview as a member of the Silver and Black.
The former Denver Bronco talks about how he feels now being on the right side of the AFC West rivalry, his excitement to work with defensive coordinator Paul Guenther, as well as what it means for him – as a Las Vegas native – that the Silver and Black are headed to Southern Nevada.
"The fans are excited to have a football team," Marshall explained. "The city is so excited. We needed something. We've always wanted something – or at least I have – something to look forward to for the kids, they could look up to… All we had was The Strip, so now that we're getting these sports teams, and these different things, kids can focus a lot of energy into this, and look up to us, and hopefully make something of themselves."
In addition to Marshall's interview, Kyle Martin rejoins the show after a week out, to give up an update about his health, and talk about if the team's recent moves impact what he wants the Silver and Black to do with their three, first-round picks.
