John Miranda, or "Johnny," is entering his 12th year in the Raiders organization and his 10th in the equipment department. Miranda started as an ambassador in the community relations/youth initiatives department in 2011. He also worked in premium seating in 2012 before joining the equipment staff in 2013. Miranda oversees the ordering, organizing, and overall fitting and maintenance of the players' helmets and shoulder pads. In addition, he works directly with the defense and special teams staffs to assist their day-to-day preparation, managing the setting up of drills, making sure that they have the correct equipment, and ensuring the Coach to Player Communications (C2P/Green Dots) are functioning correctly. Miranda also aids in the preparation of the footballs for the quarterbacks and specialists.  

Miranda is originally from San Jose and attended San Jose State University. He graduated in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in communication studies and a minor in radio, television, and film. He currently lives with his girlfriend, Karissa, in Henderson.
