Joseph Hooven is entering his second season with the Las Vegas Raiders as Media Relations Coordinator and his fifth season in the NFL. In his current role, Hooven works closely with players and coaches to facilitate interview requests from local, national and internal media outlets. Hooven is also responsible for statistical research, analysis and writing for various publications produced by the department – including weekly game releases, game notes and media guides – to provide the media with accurate statistical information on the team.  

Prior to joining the Raiders in 2022, Hooven worked on media relations staffs around the NFL, including two seasons with the New York Jets (2018, 2020) and one season with the Houston Texans (2019). He also spent one season in the NBA G League working for the New Orleans Pelicans organization as manager of basketball communications for the launch of the Birmingham Squadron in Birmingham, Ala., in 2021. 

Hooven earned a bachelor's degree in public relations from Auburn University, where he also worked as a media relations assistant with Auburn Athletics from 2016-18. A native of Birmingham, Ala., Hooven currently resides in Las Vegas with his wife, Lauren.
