Biography
Matt Hand enters his 18th NFL season and fifth as a Raiders Area Scout. He is responsible for the West Region after previously having covered the Midlands and East Coast regions in his previous seasons. Â
Prior to his time with the Silver and Black, Hand worked as the director of player personnel for the AAF's Salt Lake Stallions in 2018-2019. He was the Buffalo Bills' west region area scout from 2011-17, mid-south/ midlands region area scout from 2010-11, BLESTO scout Atlantic/mid-south region from 2007-10, college scouting administrator from 2005-07 and training camp operations Intern in 2004. He was a graduate assistant at Southern Mississippi from 2004-05 and a scouting assistant at Southern Miss from 2002-04.Â
A native of Chelsea, Mich., Hand graduated from University of Southern Mississippi with a master's degree in science, while also earning his bachelor's degree in science. Hand also holds an associate degree in arts from Grand Rapids C.C. He resides in Arizona.
