Faith Lutheran High School Mike Sanford
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Faith Lutheran High School head coach, Mike Sanford , the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after their 35-7 road victory at Green Valley. With the win, Faith Lutheran remained undefeated and secured the regular-season Class 5A Division II Southern League title, the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye in the Southern League playoffs.
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Crimson Cliffs High School head coach, Wayne Alofipo, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Crimson Cliffs High School defeated Pine View on the road 56-21. After starting the season 0-2 this is the seventh straight win for the defending Utah 4A State Champions.
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Douglas High School head coach, Kyle Mays, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Douglas High School defeated McQueen on the road 49-21. The score was tied 14-14 at the half before Douglas ran out to a 35-14 lead after the third quarter and outscoring McQueen 28-7 in the second half. The victory moved Douglas to 6-2, 2-1 in the Class 5A Division II North League.
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Coronado High School head coach, The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Pahrump Valley High School head coach, Tom Walker, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Pahrump Valley High School upset Mater East Academy 42-30 in their 3A Division League game.
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Coronado High School head coach, Shawn Dupris, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Coronado High School defeated Liberty High School 47-7 in their 5A Division I League game. The Cougars forced five turnovers, returning three for touchdowns, and limited Liberty to 162 yards of offense. It's the first win for the Cougars against their Henderson rival since 2007, snapping a 16-game losing streak.
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Durango High School head coach, Robert, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Durango High School defeated Centennial High School 32-25 in their 5A Division III Southern League Opener. Durango had a pair of interceptions returned for touchdowns and scored two special teams touchdowns to pull out the win over Centennial.
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Mojave High School head coach, Wes Pacheco, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Mojave High School defeated Virgin Valley High School 24-23 in overtime. The Mojave football team trailed Virgin Valley 16-0 with about eight minutes to play Friday night but rallied to force overtime and won.
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Somerset Academy Losee Head Coach, Dan Barnson, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Somerset Academy Losee defeated Boulder City High School 20-19 on the road in Boulder City.
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Arbor View High School Head Coach, Marlon Barnett, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Arbor View High School defeated Lincoln High School (CA.) 45-44 in Chula Vista, California in their opening game of the season. Coach Barnett took over as head coach of the Arbor View High School football program this season and this week's win is his first win as head coach of the program.
The Las Vegas Raiders this week named Las Vegas High School Head Coach, Jose Cerriteno, the Tom Flores High School Coach of the Week after Las Vegas High School defeated Palo Verde High School 27-6 in the opening game of the season. Coach Cerriteno took over as head coach of the Las Vegas High School football program this season and this week's win is his first win as head coach of the program.
