  • The Oakland Raiders' will open their 55th regular season schedule with a trip to New York to play the Jets.
  • The Raiders open in the Eastern Time Zone for the second straight season, as they traveled to Indianapolis last year.
  • The Silver and Black will open against a team from the AFC East for the first time since 2005, when they played in the NFL season's opener against the New England Patriots.
  • Oakland will start on the road for the fourth time in five years.
  • The Raiders will open their season against the Jets for the third time (1962 and 1985) in team history and the first time ever in New York.
  • Three of the team's first four games will be played away from the Bay Area, with two trips to the East coast to play the Jets (Sept. 7) and Patriots (Sept. 21) and one to London to play the Dolphins (Sept. 28).
  • Oakland will host a game as part of the NFL's Thursday Night Football for the second time in three years when they take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 20. The Raiders hosted the Broncos on Dec. 6, 2012.
  • The schedule includes nine games against playoff teams from 2013 and 10 games against teams with winning records last year.
  • This season will be only the second time in six seasons that the Raiders will not play on Monday Night Football (2010).
  • The Raiders will play five games against all teams from last year's "final four," traveling to Denver, Seattle and New England, and hosting Denver and San Francisco.
  • The Silver and Black also play both teams from last year's Super Bowl, including facing them in back-to-back games on Nov. 2 at Seattle and Nov. 9 vs. Denver.
