Andre Ward
It's been quite a few days for the city of Oakland.
First, in the aftermath of the Golden State Warriors second championship in three years, the team held a celebratory parade, and then two days later, homegrown talent Andre Ward took down Sergey Kovalev in Las Vegas to retain his trio of light heavyweight titles.
The boxer – born and raised in Oakland – beat Kovalev following an eighth round technical knockout, improving Ward's career record to an impressive 31-0 in the process.
Ward, a lifelong Raiders fan, had a ton of celebrity friends on hand to support him in his quest for another win over Kovalev, including Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and current Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch.
