Fast Facts About Usama Young

  1. Usama was born in the North East section of Washington D.C. and later attended Kent State where he started 37 of 45 games and finished his career as a Golden Flash with 198 total tackles.
  1. While he was growing up, he worked at both RFK Stadium and FedEx Field as a lemonade and cotton candy vendor.
  1. When his collegiate career ended, Young was drafted in the third round (66th overall) of the 2007 draft by the New Orleans Saints and was a member of the team that won Super Bowl XLIV.
  1. Usama is very active in the community, having established the Usama Young Youth Foundation as well as the "Young's Youth" season-ticket program.
  1. His foundation hosts an annual youth football and cheer camp in Maryland.
