Following Record-Setting Performance, Derek Carr Nominated For Pair Of Weekly Awards

After his record-setting performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is up for a pair of weekly NFL awards.

The Raiders signal-caller has been nominated for the Castrol Edge Clutch Performer following his 41-yard touchdown pass to Seth Roberts which secured an overtime win for the Silver and Black at Raymond James Stadium Sunday afternoon.

The other nominees are as follows:

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Mohamed Sanu

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady

Additionally, No. 4 has also been nominated as the FedEX Air NFL Player of the Week, following his four touchdown, 513-yard passing performance against the Buccaneers.

The other two nominees are Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

In total, Carr finished the Raiders Week 8 overtime win 40 of 59, for a franchise record 513 yards and four touchdowns.
