The Oakland Raiders are back on top.
Monday night in Mexico City, the Silver and Black met the Houston Texans on the gridiron for a showdown at Estadio Azteca in front of an excited Mexican crowd. Heading into the matchup, the Texans defense had been excellent all season long and was ranked fourth overall in the nation, even without Pro Bowl defensive end J.J. Watt. Houston's defense gave the Raiders fifth- ranked offense fits at times, but the team rallied in the second half to come away with the 27-20 win.
Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has been superb this season, amassing 2,800 yards passing, 20 touchdowns, and only four interceptions. His stellar play has helped the team improve to 8-2 on the year and is making a strong case for an MVP-bid. In the fourth quarter, Carr takes his game to the next level and on Monday Night Football he proved yet again that he could get the job done when the game is on the line.
