Raiders K Sebastian Janikowski has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for November. Janikowski was good on 10 of 11 field goal attempts in four games during the month of November and set a Raiders franchise record with six field goals in a 25-20 win over Chicago on November 27. Janikowski was a perfect 10-for-10 on extra point attempts and totaled 40 points on the month. His longest field goal of the month was a 48-yarder against Denver on November 6.

Janikowski was also named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 12 after converting six of six field goal attempts and an extra point for a total of 19 points in the Raiders 25-20 win over Chicago. Janikowski made field goals of 40, 47, 42, 19, 37 and 44 yards and established a new Raiders team record for most field goal in a game. It marked the fourth time he had made at least five in a game, with Jeff Jaeger accomplishing the feat in 1994.

Janikowski was also named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for September. In September, two of his field goals were longer than 50 yards, including a 63-yarder at Denver on September 12 that tied the NFL record for the longest field goal. He also recorded an NFL-high 13 touchbacks on kickoffs during the month.
