In many ways, John Madden has become synonymous with football.
For nearly the past 60 years, Madden has dedicated his life to the game he loves, first as a player, and then as a Hall of Fame coach, before transitioning into the broadcast booth, and becoming one of the most recognizable announcers in the country.
However, for many people, the man who led the Oakland Raiders to their first Super Bowl win will forever be known as simply "Madden," the namesake for the uber-popular video game.
Since its debut in 1988 Madden has become one of the most successful franchises in all video games, and that success, along with the close connection John Madden actually has with the game year in and year out, is the subject of the recent ESPN 30 for 30 podcast, appropriately titled "Madden's Game."
