Voters on NFL.com have made their choice. Wide receiver Denarius Moore of the Oakland Raiders is the PEPSI NFL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK for games played on November 10-14, the NFL announced today.
Moore caught five passes for 123 yards and two scores in the Raiders 24-17 win over the San Diego Chargers. This is the second Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week nod for Moore, as he also brought home the honor in Week Two. Moore and linebacker Aldon Smith of the San Francisco 49ers are the only players to win the award multiple times this season.
Moore was selected from among five finalists through fan votes on NFL.com/rookies. The other finalists were Wide receiver VINCENT BROWN of the San Diego Chargers, linebacker Von Miller of the Denver Broncos, linebacker Ryan Kerrigan of the Washington Redskins and running back De Marco Murray of the Dallas Cowboys.
After the regular season, five players will be nominated for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com/rookies throughout the month of January. The winner will be announced at a press conference at Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis.
This is Pepsi's tenth year as the official soft drink sponsor of the NFL and the tenth year that Pepsi will present the NFL Rookie of the Week and NFL Rookie of the Year awards.
