Thursday morning, the Oakland Raiders will officially kick off Training Camp 2016 at their Napa Valley Training Complex.
2016 marks the 21st summer that the Silver and Black have held training camp in Napa, and in addition to all the team's work on the field, the organization will also be active off the field for the duration of the three-week camp.
Since establishing training camp in Napa in 1996, the Raiders have invited numerous youth, military and community groups, corporate and broadcast partners as well as suite and season ticket members to watch practice, and 2016 will be no exception.
For the second-straight year, the Raiders are hosting former players from across the country during "Alumni Weekend" on the first two days of training camp. Approximately 100 former Raiders have been invited to attend practice sessions and participate in a number of activities including a luncheon and an exclusive "Friday Night Kickoff" dinner as well.
Also on Friday, the Raiders are hosting service members from all branches of the United States military. Members of the United States Marine Corps, the United States Army, the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S. Navy have been invited to spend the day with the Raiders at training camp, watch practice and meet players, coaches and staff.
The Raiders are again hosting valued Season Ticket Members at training camp, giving them exclusive, up-close-and-personal access to watch the Silver and Black prepare for the 2016 season.
Eligible Season Ticket Members—those who have met all ticket renewal deadlines—have already been contacted and given a choice of several date options to attend Training Camp along with a guest.
As far as the work on the field goes, the Silver and Black will hold 14 practices during their time in Napa before they break Aug. 16.
