Linebacker Cory James, Running Back DeAndré Washington, Tight End Gabe Holmes, Safety Karl Joseph, Running Back Jalen Richard, and Linebacker Tyrell Adams
The Oakland Raiders were well represented at last week's NFL Finance Bootcamp held in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
The bootcamp, which aimed to provide players the tools to make smart financial decisions, while also teaching them the intricacies of investing, was attended by linebackers Tyrell Adams and Cory James, tight end Gabe Holmes, linebacker Cory James, safety Karl Joseph, running backs Jalen Richard, and DeAndré Washington, as well as members of their friends and family.
Over the four-day event, the bootcamp participants were able to listen to numerous keynote speakers discussing a wide array of financial principles, including one from fullback Jamize Olawale's wife Brittany, who attended the bootcamp last year.
"It was a valuable learning experience," said Washington. "I definitely recommend [that] all players take the opportunity to learn what they don't know about their financial status."
"[It] gave me resources information for better decision making on my finances," Holmes added. "I'm definitely going back next year."
