Wide Receiver Amari Cooper
Half of the Oakland Raiders dynamic "AC/DC" duo is now represented on the NFL Network's "Top 100 Players of 2017" list, as wide receiver Amari Cooper has checked in at No. 53.
The dynamic wideout put together a dynamic sophomore campaign, finishing 2016 with 83 receptions, totaling 1,153 yards, and five touchdowns (his receptions and receiving yards both served as career highs).
Not only did Cooper put together a 2016 season that was arguably better than his already impressive first campaign in Silver and Black, but he made a little history in the process too, setting a franchise record with 15 receptions of at least 25 yards in a single season.
Following the official unveiling of Cooper on the Top 100 list, the other half of AC/DC – quarterback Derek Carr – took to Twitter to congratulate his offensive teammate on the newest accolade he can add to his ever-growing résumé.
Cooper is the second Raider to be named to the Top 100 list; offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele came in at No. 95.
The countdown of the league's Top 100 Players continues next week, so be sure to check back and see which other Raiders made the cut.
*The Oakland Raiders hosted former All-Pro wide receiver Calvin Johnson as a special guest this week, and Cooper has been eager to learn from the future Hall of Famer.
