The following week, Raiders face their third straight original American Football League opponent, taking on the New England Patriots on Sunday, October 2. The Raiders then take to the road for the third time in the first five weeks of the 2011 regular season to face the AFC South Houston Texans on October 9.
The Raiders then are back home for two straight home games at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, first hosting the AFC North Cleveland Browns on Sunday, October 16, then playing the AFC West Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, October 23. Following a bye, the Raiders play two more games versus AFC West foes, first at home against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, November 6, then in San Diego versus the Chargers in a nationally-televised, prime-time contest to be aired on the NFL Network on Thursday evening, November 10.
The Raiders are on the road again the following week to play the NFC North Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, November 20 before returning to Oakland to host the NFC North Chicago Bears on Sunday, November 27. Two straight road games are next, in Miami to play the AFC East Dolphins on Sunday, December 4, then at Green Bay to face last year's Super Bowl champion Packers on Sunday, December 11.
The Raiders return home to face the NFC North Lions on Sunday, December 18 at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum.
The Raiders then face two fellow AFC West foes, first versus the Chiefs in Kansas City on Saturday, December 24 before returning to the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum to host the San Diego Chargers on New Year's Day, Sunday, January 1, 2012.
