As of Thursday, January 9, the Raiders have reportedly requested interviews with the following candidates. Click the names below to learn more about each candidate.

Ben Johnson
Current Position: Detroit Lions offensive coordinator
Bio: Johnson joined the Lions in 2019 as an offensive quality control coach and spent three seasons with the team in multiple roles before he was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2022. Under Johnson, the Lions have become a top 10 offense and led the league in scoring in 2024 (33.2 points per game). He first entered the league as an offensive assistant for the Miami Dolphins in 2012, where he spent seven seasons in multiple offensive coaching roles.
Media Report: Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer reported that the Raiders have requested to interview Johnson. Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, Johnson's interview will take place Friday, Jan. 10.
Aaron Glenn
Current Position: Detroit Lions defensive coordinator
Bio: Glenn has served as the Lions defensive coordinator for the past four seasons. In 2024, his unit allowed the seventh fewest total yards (5,820) and seventh fewest points per game (20.1) to opposing offenses across the league. Before winning back-to-back NFC North Championships in Detroit, he was a defensive backs coach for the New Orleans Saints from 2016-2020 and the Cleveland Browns from 2014-15. He was also a three-time Pro Bowl cornerback who played 15 seasons in the NFL.
Media Report: Per Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, the Raiders have requested to interview Glenn. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Glenn's interview with the Raiders will take place Friday, Jan. 10.
Steve Spagnuolo
Current Position: Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator
Bio: Spagnuolo has four Super Bowl titles to his name as a defensive coordinator, one with the New York Giants in the 2007 season and three with the Kansas City Chiefs during his current tenure. He has over 25 years of NFL coaching experience and previously served as head coach for the St. Louis Rams from 2009-11 and as the Giants interim head coach in 2017.
Media Report: The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported on Jan. 8 that the Raiders have requested to interview Spagnuolo.
Todd Monken
Current Position: Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator
Bio: Monken is currently in his second season as the offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens. He has 36 years of coaching experience, including 10 in the NFL and six as an NFL offensive coordinator. He was a finalist for AP NFL Assistant Coach of the Year in 2023 and helped Baltimore finish first in total offense during the 2024 regular season. Before joining the Ravens, Monken was the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at the University of Georgia (2020-22).
Media Report: Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Raiders have requested permission to interview Monken.
Robert Saleh
Previous Position: New York Jets Head Coach
Bio: Saleh most recently served as Head Coach of the New York Jets, where he compiled a 20-36 record. Prior to the Jets, Saleh spent four seasons as the defensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers (2017-20). In that span, Saleh's defense ranked third in the NFL in passing yards allowed (211.4) and held opposing quarterbacks to the eighth lowest completion percentage (62.9%) in the league. His 20 years of NFL coaching experience also include stints with the Houston Texans (2005-10), Seattle Seahawks (2011-13), and Jacksonville Jaguars (2014-16).
Media Report: Per CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones and NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Raiders will interview Robert Saleh next week.
