Raiders Safety Nate Allen

ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have activated S Nate Allen from the Reserve/Injured – Designated for Return List and added him to the active roster, the club announced Saturday.

Allen was placed on the Reserve/Injured – Designated for Return List on Sept. 15 and returned to practice on Oct. 27. He stared at safety in the team's Week 1 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sept. 13 before leaving the game with a knee injury.

He was signed by the Raiders as an unrestricted free agent this past March after five seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. For his career, the 6-foot, 210-pounder has played in 75 games with 70 starts and totaled 381 tackles (258 solo), 10 interceptions, 28 passes defensed, four sacks, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

In a corresponding move, the Raiders have waived WR Marcus Thigpen. The Raiders also re-signed S Tevin McDonald to the practice squad.
