The Oakland Raiders have added linebacker Aaron Curry to the team's active roster, the team announced Tuesday. Curry was declared active/physically unable to perform on July 30, and placed on reserve/physically unable to perform on Aug. 31. He returned to practice with the Silver and Black on Oct. 17.

The 6-foot-2, 255-pound Curry played in 11 games with nine starts for the Silver and Black last season after arriving in Oakland via trade with Seattle. He has played in 46 career games with 39 starts, totaling four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and 12 passes defensed in three seasons.

Curry entered the league with the Seahawks as the No. 4 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft out of Wake Forest, where he won the 2008 Butkus Award as the nation's top linebacker.

To make room on the team's active roster, the Raiders Tuesday waived linebacker Vic So'oto.
