The Oakland Raiders have signed unrestricted free agent CB Mike Jenkins, General Manager Reggie McKenzie announced Tuesday.
Jenkins, entering his sixth NFL season after five years with the Dallas Cowboys, joins CB Tracy Porter, signed by Oakland Wednesday, in the Raiders' new-look defensive backfield.
A 5-foot-10, 197-pound veteran out of South Florida, Jenkins has played in 71 career games with 48 starts. His career totals include eight interceptions, 43 passes defensed, one forced fumble and one interception return for a touchdown since entering the NFL as Dallas' first-round selection (25th overall) in 2008.
In 2012, Jenkins played in 13 games with two starts and recorded three passes defensed. In 2009, he earned his first Pro Bowl selection with a career-high five interceptions and 19 passes defensed, and in 2010 totaled a career-best 55 tackles (51 solo).
