The Oakland Raiders have signed FB/RB Jamize Olawale from the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad to their 53-man roster, the team announced Tuesday.

Olawale is the second player the Raiders have signed from another team's practice squad this season, following DB Brandian Ross, who was added from Green Bay on Sept. 19.

The 6-1, 240-pound rookie was in training camp with the Cowboys and was signed to the team's practice squad on Sept. 2. He originally signed with Dallas as a non-drafted free agent out of North Texas on May 14.

Olawale, whose name is pronounced juh-MAZE oh-lah-WALL-ee, played two years at North Texas, recording eight receptions for 88 yards and helping the Mean Green record 2,112 rushing yards as a senior. He transferred to North Texas from El Camino Junior College, the same school that Raiders FB Marcel Reece attended, in Torrance, Calif.

A San Francisco native, Olawale attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School, where he played with Raiders practice-squad WR Travionte Session.
