Raiders Announce Four Assistant Coaches

The Oakland Raiders have hired the following coaches as part of Head Coach Jack Del Rio's staff, the club announced Tuesday.

Johnson:Joins the Raiders after spending the past two seasons with the Detroit Lions…Spent time on the coaching staffs at Akron, Miami (Ohio), Indiana, Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars and Lions…Served as the assistant offensive line coach in 2014, following a stint as the team's tight ends coach in 2013…Spent one season with the Jaguars in 2012 coaching tight ends…Began his first NFL coaching stint with the Bills in 2010-11, serving as the assistant offensive line coach for two seasons…Prior to joining the NFL ranks, spent 15 seasons as an assistant at the collegiate level…Served as the offensive line coach at Indiana for five seasons (2005-09)…Coached the offensive line in 2004 at Miami (Ohio) following four seasons as the school's tight ends coach (1999-2003)…Began his coaching career at Akron (1995-98), starting out as a graduate assistant from 1995-96 before becoming the school's defensive line coach from 1997-98.

Moore: Enters his first season with the Raiders after spending the 2014 campaign as the wide receivers coach of the Buffalo Bills…Prior to joining the NFL coaching ranks with the Bills, he spent four seasons (2010-13) as the wide receivers coach at Syracuse University…Coached wide receivers at Phoenix Junior College in 2009 and spent time working as a consultant for Protect Management and Athlete's Performance, training athletes for the NFL Draft where he oversaw future draft picks.From 2002-03, served as Montclair High School's receivers coach…A 12-year NFL veteran, he was the first overall pick of the New York Jets in the 1990 NFL Supplemental Draft…Spent five years with New York (1990-94) and seven with the Arizona Cardinals (1995-2001)…Played in 153 games (146 starts) and registered 628 receptions for 9,368 yards and 49 TDs…Earned Pro Bowl honors in 1994 and 1997 in addition to All-Pro honors in 1997…A four-year starter at Syracuse University, Moore holds the record for receiving yards per game (75.8) and career TD receptions (22)…Named to Syracuse's All-Century Team in November 1999.

Parmalee:Joins the Raiders after spending the 2010-12 seasons as the tight ends coach of the Kansas City Chiefs…Spent five seasons at Notre Dame (2005-09), serving as the tight ends coach in his final three seasons…Spent time on the coaching staff of the Miami Dolphins from 2002-04 as the Dolphins' tight ends coach (2004), assistant special teams coach/offensive assistant (2003) and special teams coach (2002)…Played nine years in the NFL with Miami (1992-98) and the New York Jets (1999-00)…Career totals include 134 games (26 starts) with 567 rushes for 2,179 yards with 17 TDs and 168 receptions for 1,485 yards with three TDs...He also registered 16 kickoff returns for 289 yards and 123 special teams tackles…Appeared in seven career postseason contests (four starts)…Finished his collegiate career as the all-time rusher in Ball State history with 3,483 rushing yards and 26 TDs.

Smith:Enters his first season with Oakland after spending the previous three seasons with the San Francisco 49ers…Has served NFL stints with the Cleveland Browns, Seattle Seahawks and 49ers…Served as the 49ers' special teams assistant from 2012-14, working under current Raiders and former 49ers special teams coordinator Brad Seely…Spent one season with the Seahawks as the team's coaching assistant in 2011 following a two-year (2009-10) stint with the Cleveland Browns…Joined the NFL ranks after five years at the collegiate level…Served as the tight ends coach at Utah State from 2006-08…Spent one season (2005) at LSU as the school's offensive graduate assistant after one season (2004) at Stephen F. Austin as the tight ends/video coordinator.
