The Raiders won the opening coin toss and elected to defer their choice to the start of the second half. WR Bryan Walters returned K Giorgio Tavecchio's opening kickoff to the Seattle 20, where the Seahawks began their drive with Russell Wilson at quarterback. Wilson drove the Seahawks down the field and hit TE Luke Willson with a 25-yard TD pass to cap the drive. K Steven Hauschka added the extra point and Seattle took a 7-0 lead with 13:15 left in the first quarter.
RB Latavius Murray returned the ensuing kickoff 38 yards to the Oakland 32. Rookie Derek Carr started at quarterback. Murray capped the 68-yard drive with a 5-yard TD blast. Tavecchio added the extra point and the Raiders tied the game 7-7 with 7:05 left 1st quarter.
Rookie CB Keith McGill stripped Walters during the kickoff return and DE Jack Crawford recovered at the Seattle 36. Carr went up top immediately and hit WR Denarius Moore for a 36-yard TD strike. The PAT was good and the Raiders took a 14-7 lead with 6:50 left in the first quarter.
Tavecchio's extra point flew out of the back of the end zone for a touchback and the Seahawks started at the 20 with Tarvaris Jackson at quarterback. The Raiders forced a three-and-out thanks to a holding penalty on Seattle and a fumbled snap. P Jon Ryan came on to punt on 4th and 17. Rookie CB TJ Carrie returned the punt 45 yards to the Seattle 20.
The Raiders took advantage as Carr went to TE Mychal Rivera who caught a deflected pass for the 20-yard score. The PAT was good and the Raiders took a 21-7 lead with 4:43 left in the first quarter.
After another Tavecchio touchback, the Seahawks started their next drive on the 20. The Seahawks went three-and-out thanks to a 2nd down sack by SS Tyvon Branch and a 3rd down pass breakup by rookie LB Khalil Mack.
The Raiders started their next drive at the 39 after a short Carrie punt return. Carr continued to put on a show as he hit Moore from 10 yards out for the score. The extra point as good and the Raiders led 28-7 with 13:45 left in the 2nd quarter.
Walters returned the ensuing kickoff to the Seattle 29. The Raiders forced a punt and Matt McGloin took over at quarterback as the Raiders took over at the Oakland 30. The Raiders went three-and-out and P Marquette King came on to punt for the first time on the night. Walters returned the punt to the Seattle 48.
Terrelle Pryor entered the game at quarterback for the Seahawks. The Raiders held the Seahawks to a three-and-out and the punting until came on. WR Denarius Moore called for a made a fair catch at the Oakland 15.
The Seahawks scored on an interception return for a touchdown as DeShawn Shead grabbed a deflected pass and raced 54 yards for the TD. The PAT was good and the Seahawks cut the Raiders lead to 28-14 with 5:17 left in the 2nd quarter.
After two offsides penalties on the Seahawks, RB George Atkinson III returned the ensuing kickoff 45 yards to the Oakland 45. McGloin connected with WR Brice Butler for a 15-yard score to increase the Raiders lead to 35-14 with 1:50 left in the 2nd quarter.
Walters returned the ensuing kickoff to the Seattle 13. Pryor capped the scoring drive with a 33-yard TD pass to WR Phil Bates. The PAT was good and the Seahawks cut the Raiders lead to 35-21 with 8 seconds left in the 2nd quarter.
The Raiders got the ball to start the 3rd quarter but went three-and-out. The Seahawks started at the 25 after a King punt and a fair catch. The Raiders defense forced a punt as well and Carrie returned the Ryan boot to the Oakland 14.
The Raiders went three-and-out and King came on to punt. Walters was dropped at the Raiders 40. The Raiders forced a 4th and 3 situation and stopped the Seahawks. The Raiders took over at their own 33.
The Raiders settled for a Tavecchio 47-yard field goal attempt. The kick was good and the Raiders led 38-21 with 1:53 left in the 3rd quarter.
Walters returned the ensuing kickoff 34 yards to the Seattle 32. The Raiders forced the Seahawks to settle for a 27-yard field goal attempt. The successful kick cut the Raiders lead to 38-24 with 11:22 left in the fourth quarter.
Atkinson returned the ensuing kickoff to the Oakland 27. The Raiders drove to the Seattle 45 before the Seahawks forced a punt. Walters called for and made a fair catch at the Seattle 9.
B.J. Daniels entered the game at quarterback. Daniels capped the drive with a 7-yard TD pass to Walters. The PAT was good and the Seahawks cut the Raiders lead to 38-31 with 4:30 to play.
WR Seth Roberts covered the onsides kick and the Raiders took over at the Seattle 47. The Raiders settled for another 47-yard Tavecchio field goal, which all but iced the game for the Raiders, who led 41-31 with 1:55 left to play.
After a touchback, the Seahawks started at the 20. The Raiders forced a 4th down and came up with another stop. The Silver and Black took over at the 48 with 1:17 left.
McGloin kneeled down twice and the Raiders secured the victory. The Silver and Black finish the 2014 Preseason with a 2-2 record and will open the regular season at the New York Jets.
