ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have claimed DE Benson Mayowa via waivers from the Seattle Seahawks, General Manager Reggie McKenzie announced Sunday.

Mayowa was originally signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in May 2013. He played in the first two games for Seattle last season, collecting two tackles (one solo), and was inactive for the remaining 14 regular season and three postseason contests. The 6-foot-3, 252-pounder played in 45 career games at the University of Idaho, collecting 67 tackles (47 solo), 11 sacks, 11 forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

To make room on the roster, the Raiders have waived/injured LB Kaelin Burnett.
