The Oakland Raiders have claimed T Emmett Cleary via waivers, General Manager Reggie McKenzie announced Wednesday.
Cleary was originally signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in April 2013 before being waived by the team in September. The 6-foot-7, 324-pounder joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' practice squad in October, where he finished the 2013 season.
The Arlington Heights, Ill., native started every game over his final two seasons at Boston College, playing in 48 total contests and making 29 starts during his tenure. He earned 2011 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team honors as a junior in 2011. To make room on the roster, the Raiders waived WR David Gilreath.
