ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have claimed LB Ray-Ray Armstrong via waivers from the St. Louis Rams, General Manager Reggie McKenzie announced Tuesday.

Armstrong was originally signed by the Rams as an undrafted free agent in May 2013. He made the team out of training camp and appeared in 16 games as a rookie, playing primarily on special teams. He totaled three tackles last season on defense and led the team with 12 special teams stops. This season, Armstrong has seen action in four games. For his career, the 6-foot-3, 234-pounder has appeared in 20 contests.

To make room on the roster, the Raiders have placed LB Kaluka Maiava on the reserve/injured list.
