The Raiders signed unrestricted free agent RB Rashad Jennings, April 11, 2013. The fifth-year back, originally drafted in the 7th round, played his first four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Inititally signed to backup Darren McFadden, Jennings ended up playing a critical role in the Raiders offense when McFadden went down with an injury.
Jennings far surpassed his previous single-season rushing totals, finishing with 163 carries for 733 yards and six touchdowns. He also added 36 receptions for 292 yards.
The veteran recorded two 100 rushing yard games, while also adding 91-yard and 88-yard performances. Against the New York Giants, Jennings rushed 15 times for 102 yards, while catching seven passes for 74 yards. In Houston the following week, Jennings rushed for 150 yards, including an impressive 80-yard touchdown run.
Jennings had 442 of his rushing yards after contact, ranking 18th in NFL. His 2.7 yards after contact/rush led the NFL for players with a minimum 150 rush attempts.
Jennings was also instrumental on special teams early in the season. He recorded two blocked punts, one recovered by teammate RB Jeremy Stewart in the end zone for a touchdown.

WR Rod Streater, in his second year with the Silver and Black, led the Raiders pass catchers in receptions and receiving yards this season. He nearly doubled his total receptions and yards from his rookie season, making 60 catches for 888 yards and 4 touchdowns in 2013.
Streater's biggest game came against the New York Jets at MetLife stadium in which he caught 7 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown.
As a rookie, Streater only started in two games, but in his second season, Streater started 14 games and saw the most snaps of any of the receiving group.
Both Jennings and Streater were active in the community throughout the season. Both Jennings and Streater helped distribute food to senior citizens during the off-season. During the season, Streater participated in a Gatorade Junior Training Camp, signed autographs in exchange for toys for the Toys for Tots program, and visited patients at Highland Hospital. Jennings spoke to students at Alameda High, visited Lazear Charter Academy and talked about financial literacy, and distributed Thanksgiving dinner to six families.
