The Oakland Raiders have re-signed free agent K Eddy Carmona, General Manager Reggie McKenzie announced Tuesday.

Carmona, a left-footed kicker out of Harding University in Arkansas, spent training camp and preseason with the Raiders in 2012 after originally signing as a non-drafted rookie free agent. He was out of football last year after being waived by the Raiders on Aug. 31.

A native of Monterrey, Mexico, Carmona made three of four field goal attempts in four preseason games last year, including 53- and 56-yard efforts. His 56-yard field goal came off the infield dirt at O.co Coliseum against the Detroit Lions on Aug. 25. He was also four-for-five on extra-point attempts.

Carmona played one season at Harding after transferring from Central Arkansas. He handled both kicking and punting duties as a senior, connecting on 10 of 13 field goal attempts and averaging 38.3 yards per punt. He also booted a 62-yard field goal en route to first team All-Great American Conference honors.
