The Raiders have signed FB Owen Schmitt.

The Oakland Raiders have signed free agent fullback Owen Schmitt, the team announced Tuesday. The fifth-year veteran played the last two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles after playing two years for the Seattle Seahawks.

The 6-foot-2, 245-pound Schmitt has played in 51 career games with 12 starts over four NFL seasons. His career totals include nine rushing attempts for 27 yards and 34 receptions for 218 yards with two touchdowns. He started five games in each of the last two seasons with the Eagles and caught a career-high 19 passes for 136 yards and one touchdown in 2010.

The Gilman, Wis., native entered the NFL as the Seahawks' fifth-round selection (163rd overall) in the 2008 NFL Draft out of West Virginia.
